TETON WILDERNESS

I left camp 8J3 in rain, and rain followed me most of the morning. Combined with stream crossings, I was rather soggy. About lunch time things cleared up and kinda stayed that way for a while. I saw northbound hikers Brett and Butters, but otherwise had the place to myself.

Toward evening I had a big climb. Right when I got to the top, heavy hail and rain hit. I got down the mountain amidst the water coming in every direction. My rain coat kept me dry above the waist, but everything else was soaked. When I got to the bottom I saw Seth and Jenny coming the other way. I hadn’t seen them since Chama. We decided to camp in a nice spot as the rain continued.

Kinda a rough end to the day, but I am warm and dry in my tent. HeHo!
