  • Born Feb 3, 1964 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; oldest of five children
  • Attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Major in an engineering program for the pulp and paper industry. Worked for Honeywell, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona for ten years. That’s me with my colleagues during development of the first digital communication link in the industry between an industrial automation system to nuclear sensors on a paper machine.
  • I was the manager of several large scale industrial projects and managed several engineering development projects with teams from across the world.
  • I have always had a love of the outdoors. I love to visit beautiful outdoor locations. Here I am on the Pacific Coast Trail in Washington state
  • In Lago Vista I have led the volunteer effort to develop hiking trails in the Balcones Canyonlands Wildlife Refuge. I am the president of the Central Texas TrailTamers. The TrailTamers is a volunteer organization that builds and maintains hiking trails throughout Texas and in many other states. I have led the development of trails at Doe Skin Ranch and Warbler Vista since its inception in 2001 (see Trail Tamers Balcones Canyonland Report for more details)
  • I love fishing, tennis, basketball, and many other recreational activities. Here I am hooking one into the woods.
  • I have been performing in the choral arts for several years. It is thrilling to perform the brilliant works of Mozart, Bach, Copeland, and others in front of a wonderful orchestra in magnificant halls. Here I am on the far right performing Handel’s “Messiah” with the Austin Civic Chorus.
  • I have been a member of the St. Mary of the Lake choir here in Lago Vista for several years. That’s me to the right of the piano with my bass guitar.
