HOG PARK CREEK, WY

This morning we got slices of cherry pie compliments of Guyonabuffalo. We hit the trail for a big climb and then marched on to meet Frodo about 12 miles from camp. Frodo gave me a cold Coke, which was blissful, and then road everyone else to Encampment. I lunched and continued down the trail

It was a bit warm but not too bad. There were lots of markers and cairns to follow, but when I got to the top of one of the last peaks I lost the trail. I ended up doing a big bushwhack back, and then saw Apache and Wonderer getting water

I showed them my plan of camping by water near Hog Park Creek and then set off to do so. They met me at the parking area later when I was looking for a way down to the road. I think they wanted to continue on, so I bushwhacked my way down the slope and found nice water in the creek by the road.

I’m cowboy camping again and all is well. My right foot was a bit less painful today, so hopefully that will continue to dissipate.
