ZIRKEL WILDERNESS, CO
I got up early and was road walking with a headlamp in the dark. I rejoined the CDT and got to the state line. I now have 4 states done, one to go.
I had a fair amount of climb today, and there was water at the top of one where I had lunch. Wonderer and Apache came by while I was there, and I took off at about 1 pm to take the Zirkel alternate
Navigation was a bit uncertain because there is no GPS to go by, but I managed to follow the map. The final climb to Seven Lakes was a beast! I camped there a little early because I was tired and there isn’t much water further down the trail for a ways
My right foot is still bugging me, but not as painful as before. I hope it continues to subside
