The first event this morning is a tour of youth mural projects in town, starting at the Javelina Coffee shop. I went down to the listed address and didn’t find it. I spotted several hikers from last night‘s event (Allgood, Snorkel, BearClaw, She-Ra) coming out of what looked like a coffee shop. I asked “Javelina?” They all whipped around looking for an angry blind hog. I then explained I was looking for a coffee shop, not a critter. I had to call to get their new address, and had a mocha and nice chai muffin.

The youth art mural tour was a great way to start the morning. It has really enhanced the city, given students opportunities, and let me see more of the city.

A full day of hiking seminars started at 10:00 am and they were great. I especially enjoyed Snorkel’s talk about feminine hygiene on the trail.

I had a nice lunch at Dianne’s

Toad Fest was great on a great day. There were 20 area brewers that put their wares on tap while a band played in the street. The beers kept getting better, and I had too many. On the way back to the hotel I bought some Sonic fare that laid there mostly untouched overnight
