My final day at home for 6 months and a lot to do.
I took a large 50 pound box to the post office to be mailed to the Econolodge hotel in Lordsburg. I was relieved to get that done, and will be more relieved to see it arrive intact
I had some last minutes chores as I drove to the airport. Most importantly, I stopped at REI downtown to have Jeff look at my pack weight. To my surprise, I decided to leave my beloved 4 pound tent with Dad to buy a new 2 pound tent. I also got a duffle bag to put my pack in for the flight and asked them to make sure it was big enough for the pack.
I got to the Hilton hotel at the airport where I will spend the night before the early morning flight. I had dinner and beer downstairs while watching Duke win against Wisconsin.
Before bed I discovered my pack barely fits in the duffle bag.
