SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS, CO I didn’t get much sleep last night. Maybe the very bright 3/4 moon kept me up. It as below freezing and I had some icy water in my bottles. I got going just after sunrise, planning to cover 23 miles. The weather was great again. I felt a little stronger today, perhaps because my pack is lighter In the afternoon I came to the junction where the Colorado Trail (CT) splits with the CDT.
