Had an encounter with a mommy cow and her calf. The calf ran up to me like it wanted to play. I don’t think mommy liked that. I stomped my hiking pole on the ground and the calf ran over to mommy. Mommy stared at me about 20 feet ahead on the trail. The calf then looked like he wanted to come back and play, but mommy mooed and they both ran off.
