GREAT DIVIDE BASIN, WY After last night‘s storm contorted my tent into bizarre shapes and blew dust over everything, I awoke with the wind abated. I filled water from the great source I camped near and was on my way. The morning was pretty easy and despite a bright and intense sun the temperature didn’t get over 90 degF. I made pretty good progress and had 15 miles by lunch Things got more challenging later. The trail disappeared and I found myself bushwhacking through rocks and sagebrush. As a guy who builds trails I sometimes have to scratch my head.…
