Near HELENA, MT
All night long some animals were making noises that sounded like someone blowing their nose. I recorded it for later identification
We had some tough, steep climbs in the morning but some easy road walk after. We watered up at Dana Spring and from there on were harassed by swarms of nasty bugs. It did not abate until we got to our camp spot, which is very pleasant with cool breezes. There is one of the scarce water sources down the hill from camp, which will good to have in the morning.
10 miles to McDonald Pass, then hitch 15 miles into Helena. HeHo!
