WARM SPRINGS, MT

Last night an elk began barking at about 2:30 am and kept it up pretty much all night long. It woke me up and made me pee.

We hit the trail, which was all road and fast. It was a nice day and we made a lot of miles, despite some confusing signage. We got to our destination Uncle Bucks, which is out of business. Heck! We got water and had dinner there and looked for a place to camp. We decided to stealth camp. The lumpy ground I am laying on it probably the worst camp spot of the hike so far, but with rain outside I’m just happy to be dry.

A short hike to Anaconda tomorrow to resupply, then on to Darby where we will need a 30 mile ride to town
