ANACONDA-PINTLER WILDERSNESS, MT

We began with a road walk with not much of a shoulder and vehicles flying by us at high speed. We were glad to get off the road.

We then had forest service trails for a while, and eventually we had trail. It got rather swampy and rocky in places, and we needed to carefully navigate a few areas.

As we got further along we passed some nice lakes, and as we got into the Anaconda-Pintler wilderness we started climbing. Those big climbs lead to some awesome scenery. The mountains and valleys are big!

We camped at Page Lake and have another big day tomorrow
