ARAPAHO NATIONAL FOREST, CO
I left the great Shadowcliff hostel and got breakfast in town, then hit the trail. It was a pleasant morning and walking around the magnificent Grand Lake was a pleasure.
The rain moved in around noon and I spent the rest of the day in my DriDucks. Along the way I ran into WideAngle and Flip, who said the next 2 days are the hardest section of trail on the CDT. I guess I need to get tough!
I stopped about 3 miles short of my intended camp spot because I found another good one near water and it was starting to get dark. After a big climb today I am ready to get warm and dry and prepare for a big climb tomorrow.
