BOB MARSHALL WILDERNESS, MT
It was supposed to be an easy day, but the CDT is never easy
We watered up at our lake camp spot after sleeping in late. I really should have gotten up earlier for a swim in this nice lake, but sleep took priority
We only had 10 miles to do but it was all up and down on stupid grades. Along the way we met RoadRunner from Cincinnati (originally Switzerland). He is completing last year’s CDT from Helena to Canada
I was thirsty all day long and glad to get to Lewis and Clark pass to setup camp, get water, and take a siesta
Tomorrow, 8 miles to Rogers Pass and a ride to town and bliss
Hey, I met you at Kevin’s party a couple of weeks before you left on your journey. I started a road trip the same day you started your hike, and have been on the road ever since… I’m in Ontario now. I’m chronicling my journey on Facebook rather than a blog. Anyway, I’ve been enjoying your progress, sounds like you’ve come a long way and are almost done. Safe journeys.
