CHAMA, NM
After sleeping in the bed of a thousand pillows, had a nice breakfast at Fosters with Bones, Dr John, Race, and Doktor Hikenstein. Then the train celebration happened, which seemed to include a full Catholic mass and a frustrated sound technician. Hikers were represented well and recognized during the ceremony. It was great to see lots of hikers. Some are braving the elements going north, others flipping to Montana, and some like me going slow waiting for snow melt
Hikers went to High Country for lunch, and then I spent some time hanging out in town. There are a bunch of hikers hanging out at Mary’s house. There was a little party at the trading post with the band Gleewood, and later we saw them at High Country for a night of revelry
