ROUTT NATIONAL FOREST, CO

We left Steamboat early and got to Rabbit Ear Pass for our pack-less road walk. There were 8 of us being accompanied by Frodo driving Bennie to rest stops about every hour. It was luxurious. The lunch was such a pleasure with pasta and salad being served up with soda, juice, and brownies. There was some afternoon rain, but not enough to make it miserable. We continued on until about 5 pm when the road got a bit too rough for Bennie. We put our packs on and did a climb to a nice campsite.

Tomorrow will be back to normal hiking with packs and climbs. HeHo!
